No oatmeal or hops according to can

I got this with the 1-gallon fermenter. I was disappointed to read the ingredients on the can, which listed NO oatmeal and NO hops. So I don't know how it can be an oatmeal stout! Nevertheless, it produced a mild-tasting stout that tastes pretty good. I've only tasted it flat before bottling with white sugar today. Another reviewer recommends brown sugar. The yeast packet was several months past the best-by date, but it worked. I bought my kit from Macy's for $20 less than it sells for on Amazon--maybe because it was out of date. I find the no-rinse sanitizers creepy, so I used bleach in water and did rinse.

Initial BrewDemon batch

I gave away my first home (traditional) brew kit to a close friend after reading about the BREWDEMON line of products. Rather than bags of hops, grains, sugars and accessory equipment taking up space; I went instead for the The Can. The trade-off was great. BREWDEMON made the process quicker (1h25m) and efficient rather than tedious hours (4h45m) of traditional brewing steps. Amazing.....boil water, add The Can, cool, add enhancer plus, add maltodextrin (I used birch xylitol instead), add yeast, and pour into 2 gal fermenter for 2 weeks.
The product exceeded my expectations. The samples I gave to family and friends came back with positive reviews on its taste and brown thick foam. The birch xylitol gave a slightly sweet ending to a slightly bitter hop flavor with much balance.
I want to thank SAM for the time and patience of taking many of my calls to make sure the procedure was followed successfully.
I am sold on this process and the BREWDEMON product. What's next? HELLFIRE DEEP RED ALE.
Wish Me Luck and Cheers to all.

This is a delicious medium body, well balanced stout. It is not too burned/roasted tasting as some stouts can be. I bottle individual 12 ounce bottles and recommend to prime bottles of this stout with 1/2 tsp maple sugar or brown sugar per bottle. The bottles I primed with white sugar had a bit of a high, bright acid taste to them. This taste from white sugar is lost in high hop and lighter beers, but it was very notable and did not taste well in this dark stout.

Well after my first liter of stout I blacked out for a spell....I woke up outside the next morning by the dog kennel with a nasty head ache.... powerful stuff.

Just kidding

The stout is excellent. I let it cook in the fermenter an extra week (14 days) then bottled and let set for a 7 days. Very dark very good stout flavor. Personally since I started brewing l like to bottle in glass it seems to settle any extra yeast and helps to get a better flavor. the liters are ok but it seem the last little bit is fruity
